Refund Policy (No Refund, Exchange Only) .**Once registered for a class, there will be no refunds. (No Refund, Exchange Only) . You may use your class credit for up to 1 year from the purchase date, after which time it expires, if you wish to exchange your purchase for a class of equal or lesser value. Monthly payment plans are available for semester studies upon approval, and must be paid on the 26th of each month, no exceptions.** We reserve the right to terminate acting classes with no refund should the artistic director deem a student disruptive to other students or the teacher.
Fees: You are required to pay for the specified number of classes in a program and/or the program length , regardless of the number of classes that are actually attended.
2.1. ALL Fees fall due on the day of the first class attended, or prior to. To register for a program, you must pay a non refundable down payment. Should you not be up-to-date on your semester fees, you will not be able to attend any classes until your payments are caught up in full until the end of the semester, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2. ALL Class Fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable, except in exceptional circumstances when agreed with Universal Talent Film School(UTFS). ALL purchases are FINAL SALE. Regardless of where you purchase the program, all of our sales are final sale. Should you need to change the date of a class that you have registered in, or we need to change the date, please communicate so we can help with this.
FEES
When you enroll in three terms of classes concurrently, UTFS may offer a discount on the cheapest of the three. If you introduce a new student who then becomes a paid-up UTFS member you may receive a discount on the next term of p/t classes.
SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Dates, times and locations are all subject to change. You will receive a credit with Universal Talent Film School, that can be used for the term of one year From the date you first purchased your program and/or class. Should we have to change the dates or times of a class, all students will be notified. If for any reason, the schedules, new proposed dates or times, do not work, you will be given a one year credit in which you can use the monies paid towards a time that works for you. Also, we do understand that sometimes emails can end up in your junk folder, please make sure to check your junk folder. If, for some reason you were not notified, please reach out to us so that we can notify you of the new dates. Keep us up-to-date with your phone numbers and email address.
Budget: UTFS appreciates that meeting the cost of classes may be difficult at times. In light of this, it may be possible to pay fees in installments, by signed agreement. However, UTFS reserves the right to cancel a payment plan at our discretion, at that time the fees for the term will become due and payable immediately and the student shall be suspended from classes until the account is paid in full. The first payment falls due on the day of the first class attended, and the remainder at monthly intervals through the program. A small admin fee is charged for setting up installments, amount of $55.
4.2. In such circumstances, you remain liable for the total cost of any block/program of classes undertaken, regardless of whether you continue to attend, for whatever reason. 4.3. Failure to pay any fees due will result in the immediate suspension of your right to attend any classes or workshops or to participate in any of the UTFS’s projects. UTFS will pursue payment of any outstanding fees vigorously.
Conduct: If you are going to be late or are unable to attend a class, please inform the UTFS by email or phone before the class begins, for the support of us your colleagues. Should you fail to respond to UTFS text/email communication more than 3 times regarding your classes or your child's, we reserve the right to cancel the remainder of your program with no refund or credit. Communication is essential and respectful. We communicate through email as well as text message. If you have a preference, please let us know and keep us updated on your current email and or phone number.

Lateness: If you are in a Semester, Advanced or Triple Threat Program and you fail to inform UTFS of a lateness or absence prior to the beginning of class on three occasions, you may forfeit your right to attend classes, workshops and projects at UTFS without any refund of fees. Should a student arrive late, you will have to wait in the waiting room until we have a break. This is out of respect for other students.
Respect for others: UTFS reserves the right to terminate your participation at the discretion of the artistic director if you are deemed to have been ‘disruptive‘ or a parent/guardian/aid has been disruptive ’. In a case like this, there will be NO REFUND and NO CREDIT GIVEN. This can include missing 3 consecutive classes without a doctor's note. This also includes, but it’s not limited to, a teacher, being disrespected, or the company being disrespected. We reserve the right to terminate your studies, should you or your guardian/parent/aid pose a problem or a threat to the school or students.
Privacy: No-one may record any aspect of any session without permission in writing from UTFS; including posting text, video, still or audio materials on Social Media.
In order to state in any professional capacity – eg. CV, biography, Spotlight or other Casting Network – that you have trained at UTC or UTFS with any of our core staff, you must have successfully completed a full-time study with us; or an equivalent period part-time program.
Student and/or Parent Declaration:
In registering, I agree to the following:
I accept the terms and conditions of the UTFS . I understand that these may change from time to time without invalidating my acceptance and that the current terms and conditions will be available to me via UTFS’s website: www.utfs.ca. and all such changes will be published on this page. All visitors to our website or any programs are responsible for being familiar with these policies and the latest revision date. Any inadvertent omission or error in the studio’s policies shall not constitute nullification of any other policy or section of this document. In such instances where no stated policy addresses an issue in question, Universal Talent Film School shall have sole discretion in accordance with applicable law and our policies.
I am satisfied that appropriate information about the classes has been made available to me prior to enrollment. I confirm my intention to attend the classes on which I have been enrolled and I am aware of the commitment required.
I understand that I must respect the privacy and needs of others [see above].
I accept that if I withdraw from any session for which I am registered, I will remain liable for the cost and not be able to transfer, hold in credit or receive a refund for fees paid.
Refund Policy: This class registration fee and/or deposits are non-refundable. All purchases made are finale sale. Should a student require a transfer into a different session, we require 7 days notice.
Class Fees Paid Are Non-Refundable: In the event of the termination of this Agreement, no portion of any payments of any kind whatsoever previously provided to Universal Talent Film School, here-under shall be owed or be repayable to Client. You, the client, are obligated to fulfill this contract in full. Should you, the client, cancel your scheduled class with less than 7 days notice, there will be no credit given towards a future class.(except under EXCEPTIONAL circumstance).
SIGN IN/OUT: It is our policy that anyone under the age of 14 MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign the child in and out every class.
CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED CLASSES: The dates are subject to change and/or classes cancelled and rescheduled, if the class is not full, a teacher is ill or other unforeseeable circumstances happen to include, but not limited to the following: bad weather conditions, heating, electrical or plumbing issues in the studio((s), circumstances that would intervene with the studio not being SAFE to conduct classes. If classes are cancelled and rescheduled due to disasters or to protect the safety of the students, we reserve the right to add on makeup classes. Should you not be able to attend the makeup session(s), we will issue a credit valid for 90 days after the first day of the commencement of makeup classes. This credit must be used for the same program, otherwise a $50 transfer fee will apply for a new program plus any additional program fee differences. Prices are subject to change without notice. By registering for a class/program or private session, I agree to the above terms and conditions. Any classes that must be cancelled for emergency or illness will be made up at the next available date.
No Guarantee of Results. Universal Talent Film School in no way, shape, or form, either expressly or impliedly guarantee the results of Client. Much of Client’s results will be dependent on Client’s focus, discipline, willingness to work hard, and other variables which are outside of Universal Talent Film School’s control such as Client’s habits, financial instability, and working conditions. Much of the results, however, will be based off of Client absorbing education materials and putting into daily practice teachings by Universal Talent Film School’s teachers.You acknowledge there are no guarantees that by taking our courses, this will or can result in your advancement in the acting industry. Results vary.
Disclosure Photographs/Videos: UTFS reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any class taught by Universal Talent Film School, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. UTFS may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by UTFS including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, social media, advertising etc.
To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian
A person attending a UTFS class who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organizers, and/or contact UTC at 587-582-1600, in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. UTFS will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.
By participating in a UTFS event or by failing to notify UTFS, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used by UTFS, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify UTFS from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
Any person or organization not affiliated with UTFS may not use, copy, alter or modify UTFS photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized designee from UTFS.
UTFS offers no guarantee on a performers progress as it is ultimately up to the performer to rehearse outside of class times and do all homework.
UTFS strongly enforces a strict NON-Defamation rule. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

COVID-19 WARNING
We have taken safety measures for you, our staff and any clients entering our studios.
We do recommend that you wear a mask at all times while in our studios, as well as use hand sanitizer consistently when needed.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease which can lead to severe illness and death. According to the centers for disease control and prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying health issues are especially vulnerable.
By visiting, Universal Talent Film School, attending classes or private sessions, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure of COVID-19.

Time Frame: PERIOD IN WHICH STUDENT IS REGISTERED IN ANY OF OUR PROGRAMS
Acting School: Universal Talent Film School AKA UTFS
The Parent and Student hereby:
(1) Understand and agree that participation in UTFS activities is voluntary on the part of the Student and is a privilege;
(2) Understand and agree that (a) by this Consent Form UTFS has provided to the Parent and Student of the existence of potential dangers associated with activity participation; (b) participation in any activity may involve injury or illness of some type; (c) the severity of such injury can range from minor cuts, bruises, sprains, and muscle strains to more serious injuries to the body’s bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, or muscles, to catastrophic injuries to the head, neck and spinal cord, and on rare occasions, injuries so severe as to result in total disability, paralysis and death; (d) the severity of an illness, including contagious diseases such as the COVID-19 virus, and bacterial infections may be so severe as to result in disability and death; and, (e) even with the best supervision, the use of the best protective equipment and strict observance of rules, injuries are still a possibility;
(3) Consent and agree to participation of the Student in UTFS activities subject to all UTFS rules interpretations for participation in UTFS activities, and the activities rules of the UTFS member school for which the Student is participating; and,
(4)Consent and agree to authorize licensed injury personnel to evaluate and treat any injury or illness that occurs during the Student’s participation in UTFS activities. This includes all reasonable and necessary preventive care, treatment and rehabilitation for these injuries. This would also include transportation of the Student to a medical facility if necessary. Such licensed medical injury personnel are independent providers and are not employed by the UTFS.
(6) Acknowledge that Parents are obligated to pay for professional medical and/or related services; the UTFS shall not be liable for payment of such services. We give permission to any and all of the Student’s health care providers and the UTFS and its employees, staff, agents, and consultants to release and discuss all records and information about the Student including otherwise confidential medical information and records. We understand that this release has been requested and may be used for the purpose of determining eligibility pertaining to activities participation, injury, injury status, or emergency.
(5)Authorize UTFS to take Student out of the building should an emergency arise or should either weather, heating or water issues affect the Student’s ability to perform or be comfortable. This can include trips to a nearby bathroom, should we have issues with the buildings water or sewage systems.
I acknowledge that I have read paragraphs (1) through (6) above, understand and agree to the terms thereof, including the warning of potential risk of injury inherent in participation in activities.
We reserve the right to have volunteers assist us in any and all classes. Volunteers and teachers all have background checks up to date.
All Observing Students will join all classes by zoom. Please have a strong internet connection. Observing
students will not be participating, watching and learning. Class length is an estimate for 12-14 students. If there are less students than this once everybody has gone in the homework assignment has been given out for the next week. The class will end.
